Being chosen as a Rockford Promise Scholar was the moment when I felt that all the hard work and late nights actually got some recognition. Knowing that my education matters and seeing it pay off in the form of this Scholarship giving me the opportunity to pursue my two degrees tuition-free is, well, freeing. This scholarship means four more years of education so that I can better myself and the world around me, and I am forever grateful for that.''
