''My plans before the scholarship was to attend Rock Valley College for two years and then transfer to a four-year university program. It seemed like a great plan but I wasn’t sure how I would be able to afford it. After receiving the scholarship, it is possible. With the help of the scholarship I will be able to afford the tuition and focus on my education. This scholarship means a lot to me and my family. I can now attend college without my parents worrying for my future education. Through education I want to help my community in anyway that I can. I am thankful for this opportunity and will give my all for the future.''
