Before beginning the Rockford Promise Application, make sure to complete the following:

• Submit your 2027-2028 FAFSA, and share it with your college(s) of choice. Your college MUST have your FAFSA data for your Rockford Promise Application to be considered.
• Save an image of your FAFSA Submission Summary for upload.
• Save an image of each of your college acceptance letter(s) for upload. You MUST be accepted to a partner college before you can qualify for Rockford Promise
• Confirm your residency eligibility by viewing the Winnebago County Treasurer’s site and viewing the most recent tax records for your address. Click here for more information.
